Description
The noble laurel is a tree that can reach 8 to 10 meters. The stem, cylindrical, greyish at the bottom, green at the top, erect, divides into branches. The leaves, alternate, shortly stalked, lanceolate, acute, wavy at the edges, are firm, leathery, shiny, persistent, of a very beautiful dark green. The flowers, yellowish white, are grouped in small umbels in the leaf axils. The fruit is round, brown, slightly fleshy, it contains a whitish seed.
