About the rite of Saint Perfect:
Perfect, this holy man, served the parish of Saint Ascicle in the city of Cordoba. But in the year 850, like all his colleagues, he knew that people were risking their heads in wanting to convert Muslims. So he was suspicious at first when two of them, approaching him in the street, asked him what he thought of Jesus and Muhammad. Then, a friendship was born between the three of them and Parfait's tongue was loosened.
One day, he ends up declaring to his new companions that "Jesus was the Son of God, God himself and the universal savior of men." As for Muhammad, I prefer not to tell you about it, for fear of getting angry. ” But on the contrary, tell us your truth, replied the two deceivers, we only want to educate ourselves. Speak without fear, we promise not to hurt you!
Confidently, Parfait proceeded to prove to them that Muhammad was a false prophet and that they had to renounce him, if they wanted to be saved. After pleasant theological discussions, they said good morning to each other and parted ways, promising to repeat this fascinating conversation. But of a confident nature, Parfait could not detect the deception. Indeed, this budding friendship was only a vulgar make-up in order to deal a fatal blow to this holy man.
As good casuists, the two "bad guys" kept their word: they themselves had done no harm that day, but they reported Parfait to the competent authorities, who undertook to have him arrested on the spot. Brought before the Arab court, Parfait was sentenced to death.
But before being beheaded on April 18, 850, he confided in Padre Ignacio de la Mesa, minister of the Lord of the small town of Almodovar del Rio, near Cordoba. He revealed to him that during his sleep, an Angel appeared to him and revealed to him a secret so that no one can after his martyrdom, suffer from the wickedness of his neighbor. The Angel would have said to him:

Padre Ignacio had just enough time to learn the revelations of Parfait that, in tears, he witnessed, helplessly, the beheading of his friend.
But, fortunately nowadays, the instructions of Saint Perfect have been transmitted to us by tradition and it is still possible today to ask for help and protection from this holy martyr, deeply good and gentle. This rite, commonly called the ritual of Saint Perfect or bath of Saint Perfect is particularly adapted to send back evil where it comes from, to silence bad tongues, so that the truth shines in the eyes of the "gentiles", to confuse the "bad guys" and their sordid schemes.
