Description
Thyme is a sub-shrub with woody, branchy, twisted roots. The stems, 10 to 30 centimeters, are woody at the base, herbaceous at the top, very diffuse. The leaves, opposite, sessile, very small, oval, lanceolate, have a red border below. The flowers, pink, visible from June to October, are united in glomeruli; the whole constitutes leafy terminal clusters. The fruit consists of four rounded ovoid achenes.
